These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of this website (www.balancedlifenutrition.com.au) and the services offered by Balanced Life Nutritional Therapy (ABN 29 794 482 159). By using this website or booking a consultation, you agree to these terms.

1. Health Disclaimer

Sonia Savage is a degree-qualified practitioner (Bachelor of Health Science - Complementary Medicine) and provides detailed, personalised health and nutrition advice based on your individual circumstances. This advice does not constitute a medical diagnosis, and does not replace the advice of your GP or another qualified medical professional.

• Always consult your doctor before making changes to medication.
• We do not diagnose, treat, or claim to cure any disease or medical condition.
• Individual results vary. We do not guarantee specific health outcomes.
• In an emergency, contact 000 or your nearest hospital — do not rely on this website or a consultation booking for urgent care.

2. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, meal plans, resources, and downloadable materials — is owned by Balanced Life Nutritional Therapy and protected by copyright.

You're welcome to use this content for your own personal reference. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or resell any material from this site (including materials provided to you as a client) without our written permission.

3. Appointments & Bookings

• Consultations are conducted online via Cliniko, our practice management and telehealth platform.
• You'll need a stable internet connection and a private space for your appointment.
• Please arrive on time. Late arrivals will result in a shortened session to avoid impacting other clients.
• We'll do our best to accommodate rescheduling requests where reasonable notice is given (see Cancellation Policy below).

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations or reschedules require at least 48 hours' notice. Cancellations or reschedules made within 48 hours of an appointment will incur a fee of 50% of the consultation cost. Failure to attend your appointment ("no-show") will incur the full (100%) consultation fee.

Refunds: Fees for a completed consultation are non-refundable, as you have received the service. If a technical issue on our end prevents a session from occurring, we'll offer a full refund or a free rescheduled appointment.

Packages/programs: Unused sessions are refundable minus an administration fee and notice must be given in writing.

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see below).

5. Your Consumer Guarantees

Under the Australian Consumer Law, our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded — including that services will be provided with due care and skill, and be fit for the purpose we've agreed to. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes these rights.

6. Privacy & Confidentiality

We take your privacy seriously. Any personal or health information you share with us — during bookings, consultations, or through this website — is collected, stored, and used in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles and our full Privacy Policy.

We may, at times, use AI-assisted transcription software during consultations to help with note-taking. Where this is used, we'll let you know beforehand and you're welcome to opt out.

In short: your information is kept confidential, stored securely, and only shared with your consent or where required by law.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Balanced Life Nutritional Therapy is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or our services, except where such liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Third-Party Links

This website may link to third-party sites (e.g. research articles, recommended products). We aren't responsible for the content or practices of those external sites.

9. International Clients

While we're based in NSW and see clients Australia-wide as well as internationally, our services are provided under Australian law regardless of where you're located. Health and nutrition advice is regulated differently from country to country, and we are not a registered health provider under any overseas regulatory scheme.

It's your responsibility to check that our services meet any local requirements that apply to you, and to consult a locally registered practitioner where appropriate.

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page.
